Xbox One vs PS4 vs Wii U

All the three consoles have revealed their vision for the future of gaming and home entertainment to the public. It looks like Microsoft has done a great job this time at least in the presentation.

The Xbox One will compete with Sony PS4 and Wii U Nintendo. It is not going to be an easy match this time.

What console choose?

It’s a difficult choice. Initially we will put a picture with the characteristics of each console and then the conclusions. The three consoles use Blu-ray optical media as their choice.

Nintendo still using PowerPC technology on the Wii U, Microsoft and Sony have changed to x86 based processors and AMD GPUs. Both are more powerful than the Wii U.

Conclusion. What console should you choose? Xbox One, PS4 or Wii U.

The three consoles are very good and have good hardware. The more limited one is the Nintendo but is also be the cheapest. The fastest one is the PS4.
In the end of the day is not the hardware but mostly the quality of the games and the user experience that will make the difference, so this will be our suggestions:

  • If you are a casual player, not want to spend much money and want to play your old games on your new console we would recommend the Wii U. Especially if you have young children. We should never forget that Mario games are a guaranteed success. They are addictive games.
  • If you do not want just a console, but an entertainment system on your TV (Smart TV), The Xbox One will definitely be your primary option. EA also said that they prepare all their franchises for this console. Microsoft has made a revolution with it Kinetic motion capture and the new way to play. The downside is that older games are not compatible with the new console. Microsoft aftersales service currently is the best available today. So if you are in that line, you will not have problems to fix your console.
  • If you are a “hard gamer” and like the mythical sagas games like Grand Turismo and God of War and want the best graphics possible, the PS4 will be your console.

All this without even knowing the real power of the PS4 or Xbox One but a higher speed memory suggests that the PS4 will be the most advanced in technology.
Time will tell who the winner in sales is, what we can say is that they are a great improvement over the previous generation. Let’s the party starts…
